Make a Pinch Pot Planter or Mug with Amy Dooley | July 23, 2022 11am-4pm

Learn how to make a pinch pot planter or mug. Learn basic pinching techniques to form clay as well as making and joining handles. The morning part of the class will give us 2 hours to build your pot. We will then break for lunch for an hour and have two more hours in the afternoon to learn how to decorate your piece using underglazing and some basic carving/sgrafitto techniques. After about a week they will be bisque fired and I will put a clear coat of glaze on them and do their final fire so you can come and pick them up. Expect them to be finished 2-3 weeks after the class is over. Firing schedules can be weather dependent. (The clay used in the example will not be the color clay used in the class. It often has glaze issues.)
