Figures on Vibrating Ground -Last Dance

Last Dance, Last Chance, Party Saturday May 19th, 2021 from 6:00-9:00pm.

Join us to celebrate the end of our inaugural show. Bring your dancing shoes and your song requests.

Figures on Vibrating Ground explores the ways our emotions and imagination affect the ways in which we perceive our surroundings. Through the use of vibrant color, visible brush strokes and intuitive imagery the fluctuating nature of life is revealed.

Figures on Vibrating Ground features the work of three Hudson Valley artists whose work is integrally connected. Rick Price is a painter, muralist, and arts educator at the Art Effect and the Harvey School based in Beacon. Morgan Suter is a painter, arts educator at the Art Effect, and recent graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she received her BFA in painting. Lastly, Chloe Mosbacher is a multimedia artist and painter based in Highland who is currently pursuing her BFA in painting from MICA. The work of each artist falls within the long tradition of figurative painting, but each utilizes saturated colors and particular paint applications with visible strokes to abstract the figure in their own unique ways.
